Welcome to the USS Warrior

Welcome to the Home of the USS Warrior, in the "Exploration" Fleet. The USS Warrior is an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) Simulation in the United Confederation of Interstellar Planets and runs every Saturday at 11:00 PM Eastern Time. The USS Warrior-B bears the name of its formidable predecessor with honor. Her victories and achievements can only be attributed to the unequaled crew that makes her live and breathe. Their obvious loyalty, pride, dedication, and skill have made the Warrior an award-winning part of the United Confederation of Interstellar Planets, and Star Fleet.

It is with great pleasure I announce to you, your new Executive Officer Lieutenant Commander William Taggart. This decision was not easy as we had two very good candidates. Rest assured all those of you who were asked and or were candidates, your application and interview was discussed in length before we came to a final decision. Again Welcome Aboard Commander Taggart, I look forward to working with you.

Greetings Crew,

As you know by now I have been named the new CO of Warrior. There are still some further changes and restructuring being done for the SIM. As of right now I am interviewing for the XO position, be it known I am doing these interview both inside and outside the SIM. I will choose fairly and wisely based on Rank, SIM experience, previous command experience, and reliability. Now this does NOT state that I will not choose someone from the crew, it does however state I am looking for the best for the Warrior. Warrior has had a long history of good Command teams and I wish to carry on that tradition and make Warrior one of the Best SIMs in UCIP if not the best. I encourage feedback from all crewmembers, on the candidates for XO, so please send recommendations to my desk. I will be making my decision on XO late Wednesday early Thursday and I will send a letter announcing my decision across this list. Friday I will have a sim brief sent out to warrior-dept mailing list so department heads be looking for the brief.

Other changes that have happened to date are, Colonel Moore has been reassigned to Strategic Ops, he will now be handling Tac/Sec and Fighter Wing, Tac/Sec people he is still your Department CO, how he aligns his department, he will let the command team know and we will more than likely follow his alignment. Petty Officer 2nd Class Miller will remain as the SIMs 2XO and he has already been a great help in getting me up to speed along with Rear Admiral Hanson our Fleet CO.

SIM Attendance, it has been low lately I plan to rectify that. Folks if you’re not going to be able to participate in the SIM, you MUST get a letter across warrior-ooc and warrior-command lists so that you can be marked as excused. A quality log (five good paragraphs or one page) will be accepted for a missed SIM, but the log should be turned in no later than Sunday 8pm EST for it to count on the SIM report. Remember three unexcused absences will be grounds for removal from SIM. I also ask that those of you on LOA please update your status and inform the Command team how long you expect to be gone. Last and final note I will be contacting Logistics this week and getting every ones promo dates, I am also looking for someone to create SIM ribbons. You are all a wonderful crew and deserve to be rewarded for your patience and continued efforts to support the SIM.
