James Ross of the Texas Rangers. Bryan wanted to know why they wanted him to join? Jim Ross was quit clear about it he felt Bryan had training star fleet security and swat and was know for his tracking abilities. Ross felt that Bryan was a good candidate for the Texas Rangers. Bryan excepted the appointment and was sworn in. James Ross also told Bryan one of the main reasons they wanted him was that since the Krivaldi and Dominion were now close to their back door. They felt that a changeling had infiltrated the Rangers and that someone was involved with materials transfer between here and sb369 related to the Dominion forces. Bryan road back to civilization now feeling that the badge he wore was a bit heavier than his old star fleet uniform and with more meaning. he was now a Ranger and he was wearing his Great-Great-Great-Great-Grand Father's badge. 24 ** Dr. Hutcherson returns to his office, after treating patients in the ED and ICU. His thinks over what fellow Marine SSgt. Vasquez had told him earlier: that their team's mission on the Krivaldi ship may have been an error; orders for it may have been forged! Realizing this, Hutcherson heads off to speak to 1Lt. Howard Prescott. 25 ** Trauma surgeon Dr. O'Neill desperately searches for the vessel causing a Marine (on the operating table) to bleed out. 1Lt. Howard Prescott walks into the O.R.; O'Neill tells the platoon commander that his man's condition is serious. The suggestion to call the soldier's family is decided upon by O'Neill and Prescott. 26 ** The orthopedic surgeon working on O'Neill's patient proceeds with a BKA (below knee amputation) on one leg. The patient (one of Prescott's fellow soldiers) is to have a prosthetic. Tying off the bleeder, Dr. O'Neill stabilizes his patient. Despite the improved outcome, Dr. O'Neill still advices Prescott to contact the man's family. 27 2nd LT Andrew Tatlock was called to a meeting with Commodore Thompson and offered the position of Squadron Commander and he excepted it with pride. Thompson explained the mission and asked Tatlock about defense of SB 369. Tatlock suggested a token fighter force for the base and was to have another meeting with the Commodore. 28 ** Dr. Kelly Clark suggests Lt. Cmdr. Amanda Jenkins to join with her on ICU rounds. They monitor and manage a patient (injured Marine) who had suffered from a head bleed; the two doctors discuss options on optimizing cerebral perfusion pressure, among other things. Dr. Clark asks Jenkins how she is dealing with the work load. 29 ** Jenkins tells Dr. Clark she's settled in well and feels competent as a medical officer. She also says that she has found someone close (Thompson) to talk to about her recent confrontation with her ex. Dr. Clark asks Jenkins if she knew the CO in the past; the AMO answers by saying they have served on the USS Nightshade together. 30 James finished beta shift and returned to the XO's office and completed some back reports. He realized it was getting late and his wife Erin concerned he was over doing it came to get him with Kyle. James agreed that Erin was right and shut down. They went home to quarters. Erin provide James with a very nice supper and after their supper Erin then feed Kyle and put him to bed while James cleaned up the dishes and then showered. Erin changed James's dressing and they went to bed. Erin relaxed James so that he would sleep for her since she knew he was still having some pain from the surgery he had. 31 ** Dr. Hailey Ryder (NPC) receives XO Cmdr. Dex D'Gracefull as a patient. The XO seems to have fractured his left arm after receiving a nasty blow to the head. Something about EVA suits... As Dex comes around, Dr. Hailey explains the situation. The XO seems to have trouble with his left hand, as he attempts to move his fingers. 32 ** Dex's hand problem may be due to nerve compression from his broken arm bone, but it can also be neurological. Dr. Ryder suggests an immediate head N-CT scan of Dex's head to rule out anything that may have been damaged from the blow to his head. The XO complies and is quickly transported to radiology by Ryder's ED team. 33 2Lt Tatlock gathered his pilots and told them they were all being transferred to SB 369 until the Vindicator returned. Presently they would beef up the marine detachment there and would have to practical those skills. However, the fighters were also being transferred to sb 369. Tatlock dismissed the group but noted his men were talking excitedly. He felt good about it since that meant the organizational problems had been solved. Tatlock headed for his office hitting the COM calling 1Lt Prescott for a meeting. 34 2Lt Tatlock came to main engineering to find Lt Jackson to get help with his holo projection idea. Tatlock found Lt Jackson and handed her his padd telling her that the cargo shuttle might be the best bet for setting up the holo projector. Tatlock told Lt Jackson that Commodore Thompson had give him permission to try it. The idea was to project a number of Federation ships to make the Dominion and Krivaldi think the star base forces were larger than the Dominion thought. Akida thought it a good idea but she also felt that someway of sending out multiple warp signatures might be needed to make it convincing. The two officers went to Akida's office and she looked over Tatlock's padd data.
