She didn't understand why they wanted her but she went and reached the deck and the counseling office. She called and peaked in but didn't see anybody. Amanda finally went in and was surprised by Cmdr Patrick O'Neil. He had docked his runabout at SB 22 and had boarded Vindicator. O'Neil tried to convince Amanda to go with him but she loathed him and would not. O'Niel grabbed her wrist and broke it. In The mean time Ens Vokar was checking on Amanda but she did not respond during his five minute wait. Vokar picked up his phaser located Jenkins and headed for the turbo lift. The lift broke down and Vokar had to exit manually. 14 Lt Vokar finally reached deck 6 and ordered force fields erected sealing off both ends of the deck with security teams. Cmdr O'Niel released LtCmdr Jenkins but she kicked him hard. O'Niel lost his temper and beat Amanda terribly with his palm injuring her and knocking her unconscious. Cmdr O'Niel left the counseling office to get away but was detained by Ens Vokar's security. Commodore Thompson was informed and Ens Vokar had O'Niel hauled off to the brig. Vokar unlocked the door and found Jenkins severely hurt and unconscious. He had her beamed directly to sick bay. Vokar informed Thompson about Amanda's injuries and headed to sickbay. Ens Moore did his best to treat Amanda's injuries. Vokar asked a nurse if she would be ok and the nurse said yes. Thompson decided to have O'Niel removed to SB 22 for pending charges. 15 Cadet Andrew Tatlock was dismissed by the squadron commander and decided to have lunch. Afterwards he went to check the duty roster and found he was not on it. He checked with the duty officer and found he was still not on it and was told to come back latter. Tatlock decided to go to the gym for a work out and passed a marine detachment on his way there. 17 Dex heard the security alert and grabbed his equipment and a type two phaser and headed for the turbo lift with a marine in combat armor following directly behind him and to Dex's amazement the marine actually moved ahead of him. Dex heard Vokar's COM call about the damaged lift and headed for the Jeffries tube at 19B. Dex removed the panel and the marine jumped in ahead of Dex. They quickly reached deck 6 and asked about the problem. Dex heard then about the assault. Dex called Ens Vokar. He was enraged an assault was not good and especially on a women. He wanted the perpetrator off his ship now. Ens Vokar told Dex the perpetrator was now in the brig. Dex immediately headed for the brig with several marines and decided to have the prisoner escorted off the Vindicator to the SB 22 brig. 18 ** Despite being told not to by Dr. Vosen, Hutcherson sedates and intubates Lt. Waters to facilitate the gastric lavage. Dr. Vosen returns to see his patient intubated, and lectures Hutcherson about attending orders. Vosen says being promoted to CMO doesn't instantly provide 5 years worth of clinical experience. 19 senior Officers Meeting LtJG Reid informed Como Thompson that the internal COMs were unaffected but could be patched into with the CO's permission. Reid informed the meeting that two pilots had been arrested and he wanted to talk to SB 22 first before extraction was attempted. He also informed the meeting that LtCmdr Stadi and Lt Bishop had been reassigned to SB 22. Thompson asked Lt Jackson to take the position of CEO. Akida wished she had more advanced notice but she agreed to take the position. Thompson moved on to the mission involving SB 369. Star fleet had completely lost contact with the base. Vindicator's mission was to investigate and find out if the base still existed, or was under siege or had been taken. Thompson said the mission would be dangerous since resistance to the Vindicator's penetration into the area may be encountered. He informed the meeting that the Vindicator would be leaving in 4 days. Thompson turned the meeting over to questions from the participants. LtJG Reid recommended using the Silver and Scout shuttles to penetrate the area and get Intel with the possible use of gliders for boarding. 2Lt Prescott suggested the operation should be joint between the VSWT and the marines. Prescott felt the base should be seized to remove it as a hard point and also to sabotage vital hardware and equipment on the base to prevent it from falling into enemy hands. Finally tactical and fighter scenarios should be run to insure safe entry of the marines into the base. LtJG Hutcherson asked a pertinent question. Why is SB 369 so significant? Thompson said the base was designed to watch the Krivaldi and Gorn interactions in that area along with the akira class ship it had the USS-Crazyhorse. At this point Lt Reid received a message and announced to the XO he was resigning his commission and leaving for home in his repaired shuttle. Reid got up and left the meeting. LtCmdr Vance asked Como Thompson about reinstalling a weapon that had been on Vindicator before. It was designed to interrupt harmonic reinforcement in shields causing generator overload and burnout as well as causing and EPS main ripple which would cause extensive electronic damage. Thompson had some questions about the system and it was discussed. Thompson decided to have the system reinstalled and told LtCmdr Vance to proceed. Lt Jackson decided at this point to continue listening. Ens Vokar informed the group that Lt Reid was leaving aboard a shuttle. Cmdr Dex informed Ens Vokar he had authorized it. 2Lt Prescott again asked about securing SB 369 using the marines to destroy important facilities. Thompson agreed that if marines were to be used it would be to sabotage the base. Finally Akida asked about orders for engineering. Thompson told Akida to get the ship combat ready in the time still remaining and to obtain extra supplies for system repair due to combat damage. Thompson told Akida she could get help both with the supplies and repair from SB 22. Akida nodded and took some notes on her pad. 20 ** At the ICU, Lt. Waters wakes up after having pill fragments removed from his stomach. He gets his breathing tube taken out as well. Dr. Hutcherson asks Waters why he had swallowed pills from the drug room, and we learn of his past experience as a Romulan POW during the 2401 Federation-Romulan War, 6 years ago. 21 ** Having suffered six years of chronic psychological pain, Waters finally informs Dr. Hutcherson of his real problem. It has been a misinterpretation all along, with an incorrect diagnosis. Waters asks not to return to Starfleet Medical, and Hutcherson agrees to find him the appropriate help he requires. 22 Ens Vokar got a call from sb22. His sister T'Asir and his friend David had called. Vokar sat down sipping his tea. T'Asir told Vokar that she had been assigned to the USS-Vindicator in the Tactical department under him and that she would be beaming over directly. Ens Vokar called Cmdr Dex and told him. Dex said he would come right to transporter room 1 where T'Asir was coming in. Dex located an empty cabin for quarters for T'Asir 2 decks below just under Vokar. Dex headed to the transporter room finding Vokar there waiting. Dex didn't know her name and asked Voker. Vokar told Dex it was T'Asir. The Vulcon lady beamed up and Dex and Vokar headed for the turbo lift with T'Asir. Dex liked her sense of hummer and wondered if T'Asir was flirting with him. They reached the deck and Dex and Vokar escorted T'Asir to her quarters. Dex then left letting Vokar and T'Asir get reacquainted. 23 ** Dr. Hutcherson reviews the results of Ens. Vokar's bio-scan request. He calls the CTAC down to Sickbay to analyze the signature (of the individual who accessed the sensor control room and erased his/her tracks), which turns out to be Vulcan. Vokar asks for a physical exam as follow-up since his last injury. 24 ** During the physical, Hutcherson finds a trace signal of a tracker device within Vokar's stomach. The CMO tweaks the site/site transporter's bio-filters to remove the tracker, placing it in a receiver device. The CTAC suggests it to be sent to James Vance at the Science Department for further study. 25 Lt Kryton-Vance walked back to the arboretum to check on everything and get the place ship shape for the coming mission. She found the arboretum in excellent shape and then when she subsequently checked hydroponics she found the food source plants in excellent shape everybody was doing there job. Erin was quite happy about that and she was even asked about her new baby since her crew hadn't seen Kyle yet and she promised that she would bring him in. Erin however sat down at her desk in the arboretum office with some fresh strawberries and looked at the pile of padds piled up. That was a mess so she started wading though them. 26 Lt Cmdr Kryton-vance was finishing the filing and paper work when found and unfinished one on hold pretaining to a bacteria found from the Kalian system. It had the ability to violate shield hamonics and eat hull metalas well as with satnd the cold and hard vacuum of space. Presently the bug was still in stasis but either had to be disposed of or could possibly looked at as a weapon. James Checked with his wife on checking out what to dio with it and then checked Kyle and went out to help Scienc Mate Jones assemble an EMP weapon and its comonents. 27 After Ens Vokar ran through tactical simulations with T' Asir they sat down in the Tactical office and had tea together Ens Vokar showed T'Asir a padd of data that Dr Hutcherson had given him on a bioscan of a suspected saboteur. T'Asir confirmed to Vokar that it was Vulcan. Vokar told T'Asir of his friend Akida and they decided to see the mess hall. So Ens Vokar COM'ed Akida. She agreed to meet them in the mess hall turned engineering over to Lt West for a short period of time. Lt Jackson left for the mess hall. 28 Ens Vokar and T'Asir sat down in the mess hall after getting from the replicator there Earl Gray tea and pie and Chips. Vokar sat T'Asir's plate and tea down in front of her then sat down with her when Lt Jackson arrived. She noticed the long haired brunet Vulcan lady but was surprised to find out about T'Asir being Vokars sister. Akida listened carefully to T'Asir and found out about Vokar his using her first name and being sentimental. This suggested something to Akida. Vokar had to break to go to shift and so did Akida since she was shortly going to see her brothers for lunch. 29 James and Zack assembled the modulators and the amplifier system and tested the components everything was diagnostically in the green. The final setup was completed and the computer core was brought on line and the program was activated adding a new weapon to Ens Vokar's tactical display. LtCmdr Kryton-Vance called Ens Vokar informing him briefly of the system that had been installed. James had to immediately head back to the office at this point to check on Kyle. 30 2Lt Prescott was busy reviewing and working on his paper work. Prescott found he had quit a bit of paper work to do which took time and he was a bit frustrated that it took him away from his men, watching there train and so forth. He realized that the paper work was necessary such as leave requests, awards, promotions, pay inquiry reports, just among the many things that have to be reviewed and approved and disapproved by him. All this took time. Prescott finally finished and found that it was quite late and headed to his quarters. He showered and checked his e-mail and listened to the news reports especially one about a marine encounter with the Gorn.
