Bryan there met his Great grand father Daniel who clued Bryan into the situation and told him not now and pointed Bryan the way to life. In the mean time the CMO Dr Rhodes and an emergency medical services tech Jones fought to bring Reid back. Lt Reid was shortly beamed to Dr Hutcherson in Sick Bay. 12 Lt Jackson climbed through the Jeffries tubes with her repair squad. They reached the repair area and found they had to replace sections of conduit, wiring , and gel packs. West checked the repair stores they had to make sure they had enough wire, and gel packs. Seeing that they had the materials the team began to make repairs. Akida felt there might be a plasma fire at anytime with this procedure and was a little concerned. The crew started making the repairs and after about an hour Akida sent West and Doyle into the next section to access a replicator and get lunch for the crew and bring it back. That done the crew sat down to eat and then started back to work. 13 Ens Vokar entered his quarters and put his pads down on the table and shut and locked his door. He looked at the pictures of his family. He especially missed his sister T'Asir a botanist and biologist. Vokar then accessed the computer and checked on his friend Lt Jackson. He found her files were restricted except for medical then Vokar checked on Vadala and found that the species there were felinoid have mainly as a difference from humans a cat like tail and ears. Vokar realized this what he felt Akida was hiding and he thought it illogical to worry about it. At this point his door was chimed and he answered finding that the crew man who took him to sick bay was there. Vokar queried finding that the crewman was just checking to see that he was ok. Vokar turned in for some sleep before he had to see Akida. 14 ** Dr. Hutcherson makes it back to his quarters, just as the Vindicator docks at SB22. He takes a shower, having been up for the past two days on-call and working. He gets a call from Reese Voyer (SFI), who arranges a meeting. Hutcherson leaves his quarters for the Mess Hall to get some dinner, after which he'll return to get some sleep. 15 Como Thompson came down to Lt Cmdr Jenkins quarters to see Amanda. She let him in and he sat down on the couch. They talked and Jason found out that Amanda's previous boo had beat her leaving scares. Jason hoped that could be repaired in sick bay but he was a bit shocked. Amanda offered him a drink and Jason had a scotch. They talked some more and Jason finally asked Amanda to dinner. She accepted and Jason headed back to the bridge. 16 Lt Vance was approached by CWO Jones and they discussed the declared state of war by the federation. Jones wondered if EMP 47 should be reinstalled. Lt Vance new that it was a powerful weapon designed by the Lab and had been installed on the old Vindicator-b and then had been reinstalled on the Vindicator-C but had latter been dismantled except for the hardwiring to the Nav deflector dish. Lt Vance had Jones check out the hardwiring to see that it was ok and while Jones was doing that located the stored parts and brought them back to the main lab and placed them by the weapon mount. Jones reported the hardwiring was ok and Lt Vance went to work on a memo to the CO and XO. 17 ** Early in the morning, Dr. Hutcherson heads over to Starbucks on SB22. Reese Voyer (SFI) tells the doctor that his team will handle Atwood case, and any intelligence involved (Atwood will be transferred to SB22's ICU). Hutch asks what his next assignment is, but Voyer advices him not to worry about work, and to make good use of R&R time. 18 Lt Vance wrote a memo to Como Thompson and Cmdr Dex asking if they wanted this EMP47 weapon back on line. It was a weapon that produced more concentrated force than a solar flare's direct impact. The weapon basically burnt out the shields trying to compensate under attack causing major EPS ripples through out a ships circuitry. It had been designed and installed once before and worked well enough to flat line a Romulan War bird. The question the memo asked was should the weapon be put back on line due to this impending war. The memo was sent and Lt Vance went to check with his wife Erin. 19 Akida's team continued its engineering work and as they brought more conduit in Doyle forgot everything and started admiring Akida's curves. Martha saw this bringing in more conduit and banged Doyle's head with the conduit for drooling over Lt Jackson. Akida caught it and wondered what situations would develop. They were getting close to finishing and Akida wanted to get back to quarters and shower before she had to climb with Vokar. She felt she was going to be late. 20 Lt Jackson reached her quarters getting a message from Ens Vokar. She told him she had to change and shut the comm down. Akida met her cat and held it. Then she stripped down and messaged her tail and ears and and took a sonic shower and finally dressed in aerobic shorts and her other cloths again hiding her tail and ears. She didn't like this situation but was afraid to do anything else. At that point it was time to head to Ens Vokar. 21 ** Mark Emerson (medical student) walks into an exam room to note an H&P on a patient that is apparently the new AMO, Lt.Cdr. Amanda Jenkins. Early into the exam, Mark notices Amanda to be quieter than most people. He also catches a glimpse of a scar to the side of her cheek. Mark is suspicious of domestic violence, and asks questions. 22 ** Amanda attempts to avoid Mark's questions regarding her background of domestic violence (from her ex-boyfriend). Mark manages to get her to talk about it, and he explains that she is safe on the Vindicator. Amanda is told that her history of abuse must be reported to law enforcement. She provides the name of her offender: Patrick O'Neill. 23 ** Mark asks Amanda whether she sees herself fit for duties as a medical officer. Amanda is offended by this question, and Mark simply states it is standard procedure. He offers to arrange counseling appointments, but Amanda says she doesn't need any. Mark writes up the H&P and tells Amanda he'll be discussing his notes with Dr. Ryder. 24 Lt Bishop was ordered to report to Commodore Thompson's ready room and came in thinking about first the mission against the Vanguard the Vindi had undergone Then the Utopea planet disaster. The Attack that occurred there. Bishop entered when Thompson was just about to beam to SB 22. He stopped and talked to Bishop. Auryn was handed a padd by Thompson and told to read it. Auryn did and couldn't quite believe it. He had been transferred to SB 22 as their Operations officer. Auryn didn't want to leave Vindicator but Thompson said that they needed a good ops officer and his record was spotless. Como Acheson wanted Auryn and with the current situation SB22 could be attacked. Auryn then concluded it really was war. Thompson agreed and told Auryn he wasn't leaving unprepared. He handed Auryn a pip and made him a lieutenant senior grade. 26 Cdt Prescott checks the supply inventory on sb 22 and finds that several crates from Quantico were to be shipped to marine stores. He checks with Major Perkins and finds that everything is ok. Then back aboard Vindicator on deck 34 he attends Marine training meetings with Perkins and NCO evaluations one in particular SSG Corey headed to SB 22. After a number of hours the meetings and paper work is finished and Prescott checks on each squad training exercise. This completed he heads to quarters showers, eats, and reads his mail. He finds out from mom that dad's commission has been reactivated. 28 Cdt Prescott sits with his squad listing to a weapons training holograph. The first thing they learn about is a Type-3e/m Phaser Rifle which is modular using a standard type 3 pulse phaser emitter and a 20 mm under slung grenade launcher. But It can be reconfigured into a sniper rife as well using a replicator magazine to fire TR-116 rounds or energy packs that fire high capacity pulse phaser rounds. It also can be reconfigured to fire a 20 mm Kinetic energy missile from a snub nosed large round barrel. The holo instructor also shows the marines a type-2b pulse phaser pistol which has a higher kinetic punch than the standard type-2. However, it comes at a cost due to barrel over heating and requires three seconds to cool off. Cdt Prescott then tries the sniper rifle set up on the range. He does well with it and hopes the unit will actually work well in real combat situations. 29 James was home with his wife Erin whom was making dinner the old fashioned way her favorite. James finally had a little time off and was enjoying his son Kyle and his mother was enjoy the two of them play together. Then Kyle had that urge and daddy tried to take care of the problem himself. Cmdr Dex stopped by to see James and Erin. James not realizing that he had not pinned one side on Kyle's diaper answered the door. The diaper slipped and gravity took over Kyle took aim and both Cmdr Dex and Daddy got sprayed. Dex understood but had also come to see his god son and had all kinds of plans and toys and ideas for the little one. Erin cleaned up Kyle and to Dex's question most assuredly He could baby sit Kyle to his harts content. She felt she and James did need a little time to them self's and yes Dex was Kyle's godfather so Erin wanted him to see Kyle. 30 Erin gave Kyle to Cmdr Dex and Dex played with Kyle for sometime. Dex was enjoying himself but Kyle started to cry and Dex was a little uncertain. Dex gave Kyle to James who checked finding it was not a problem but suspected Kyle was hungry. James gave Kyle to Erin whom new what the problem was and proceeded to feed him. Erin asked James and Dex to take care of the roast and set the table. Dex took care of cutting the roast and James took care of the mashed potatoes and gravy and the rest. The table set and the dinner ready Erin called James. Kyle was asleep and Erin had James put Kyle in the portable crib and get her pump. James had obtained a unit earlier for Erin but wasn't sure how to put it together. He checked with dex whom wasn't quite sure either so he did the best he could and took it to Erin. Erin laughed and corrected James mistake and they later sat down to Dinner and James picked up Kyle whom had awakened. James tried to eat while holding Kyle who got James in the face with the mashed potatoes both Erin and Dex chuckled. 31 PFC Joran Tryn was in charge of physical training of the platoon. He saw to the 15 mile runs and calisthenics. He was having the men do push ups but at the same time was coaxing them about the war looming ahead. Joran told the men that the enemy was likely better trained and in better physical health the his men. But did they want the enemy to win. No Tryn was going to win and every bit of sweet saved drops of blood on the battle field. Tryn told them this was the real thing they had to win to protect there homes and families. The federation was at stake here. The men cheered Tryn as the exercise concluded. 32 David Semmes and Alex lie in a cell. They feel they have been there for maybe three days. Suddenly they hear the rapid fire of pulse phasers and it seems to be getting closer. David feels it is likely his men come to get them. The communications officer comes in and tells David to get back as they blow the cell door lock. David and Alex are given pulse phaser rifle carbines and they leave the lightly protected detention center. They reenter the shuttle and leave heading back to the Strider. Once aboard they have no trouble evading the Uganon port authorities weapons and with the alliance patrols perusing the Strider disappears into the depths of space. 33 Lt. Col.Miguel Sanchez has his 81 mm motor crews and his 155 mm howitzers pounding a Kravaltie and Gorn assault. Sanchez finds that the Kravaldi black tanks are moving into sector delta-8. Sanchez calls Lt. Nulls whom has a tank platoon hidden in that area. Sanchez radios the lieutenant to go ahead and take the Kravaldi tanks and APC s out. The Kravaldi pass there line and Lt Nulls orders the m-58 Type-7 Pulse Phaser cannons to fire. The black tanks are taken down burning and crew escaping are burned down by a coaxial Type-4 phaser. The turret turns and takes out the APCs. The Colonel finds that the Kravaldi are now hitting with everything they have as plasma torpedoes become incoming to the marine lines. The Colonel now sees that he is pretty much surrounded with the fleet no where to be found. 34 Gunnery Sergeant Redding assembles the marines as they stand there he tells the marines that Major Perkins has been temporarily reassigned to SB 22 and that a Marine Captain will be replacing Perkins for a while. GSSG Redding tells the marines that Cdt Prescott due to his outstanding service will be temporarily replacing Major Perkins until Captain Kimball arrives. Redding also tells the men he as a number of presentations to give out at this time. First Cdt Prescott is called to the front. Cdt Prescott receives the new rank of Second Lieutenant and the Semper Fidelis cross. He is surprised and feels his dad will be proud of him. Second Corporal Nemain is called up front and she receives the Semper Fidelis cross for service. Third PFC Tryn is called up font and due to his outstanding service is awarded a new rank of Lance Corporal and is also given the Semper Fidelis cross.
