The database team created a new listserv for us called "vindicator-jp@ucip.org". It will be used for joint-plots with other sims and for larger JLs, where it becomes cumbersome to email multiple people. If you'd like to be added to the list, you can add yourself in the database. The list is available for anyone who wants to use it. I was very pleased at the wide array of participation we observed from the crew. This week, we will begin repairs on the sensor array and attempt to figure out what the Ferengi are up to. Until next week: Captain Thompson ___________________________________________________________________ | W E E K I N R E V I E W | ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ Cdt Adam Vega flies his first mission with some tension and carefully pilots his ship away from the Vindicator to the squadron and through the asteroid field to the array stopping 20 kilometers from it. Ens Reid lay in the med bay unconscious for nearly two weeks and finally was dismiss and was worried about his stuff but he had found it already moved to his quarters. He also found that he had been assigned to the USS-Vindicator as an Ensign and a Assistant operations officer. Lt James Kryton-Vance scanned the asteroid field and found the usual composition of material and nothing unusual but he did discover an unknown scrambled signal coming from the Krivaldi battle cruiser. Lt Erin Kryton-Vance spent her day in the arboretum checking on the coco plants and looking at creating an imperial garden. During the day Erin thought some of the coming baby and her love and went home to her quarters and rested. James came home and Erin realized he was tired and put him to sleep with her. Specialist Sorel helped to outfit the shuttle with hardware for the engineering away team and the escort marines. He felt it could be done faster but do to his mates discussing unrelated problems the job slowed to 20 minutes which Sorel felt should have only taken 10 minutes. A ferenge Cargo vessel came into the system carrying a hidden cargo of moyerite for trade with the Krivaldi. However they detected the USS-vindicator nearby in the asteroid belt and decided that they couldn't run due to the cargos instability and Daemon Brin didn't want to be found with this cargo on his ship so he tried to escape as fast as possible at full impulse through the asteroid field. The Ferenge vessel cracked up due to three collisions with asteroids. LtCmdr Desmond Steel in command of Beta shift picked up the Ferenge Cargo ship coming in and tried to hail it but the vessel ignored the hail. The vessel tried to escape through the asteroid field and cracked up. Steel ordered the fighters to disable the vessel if necessary and toe it back to the USS-Vindicator. Lt Tam Stadi checked the shuttle hardware set up and the diagnostic and found every thing ready for the trip to the array. He ran the shuttle sensors and found that the Ferenge ship had crashed in the asteroid field but he also found the Quantum signature of moyerite the unstable cargo that the Ferenge were carrying an accelerator for antimatter weapons and Stadi believed the Ferenge were selling this to the Krivaldi. Lt Bishop went to the marine barracks to liaison the joint repair mission between the marines and the engineering away team group. He meet with Major Perkins and discussed the docking location the alpha computer node. Lt Bishop was assured by Major Perkins that they would take care of any intruders easily. Lt Bishop left and Major Perkins ordered the marines to the shuttle bay. Erin and James awoke and had breakfast before their shift but soon received a call from Jones about the crashed Ferenge cargo vessel and hurried to the Lab. SSarg Redding spends some time on the targeting range before returning to the barracks to prepare for the next mission.
