LtCol Skulldron arrives on the Vindicator and inspects the fighters, disguised in civillian attire. She reports in to Captain Thompson, who is surprised to see that she is an android. Ens Naba was given a medical examination after arriving on the ship, as his records were inaccessible. He performs a weapon inventory and introduces his new phaser rifle. LtJG Vance helped reconfigure the long range sensors to scan for the Berkeley, at the request of the operations officer. He later launched the 6 probes equipped with cloaking devices to serve as a scout. Later, he prepared a probe to scan the nearby nebula. Ens Billard arrived at the security office, only to be sent to the transporter room to ensure LtCmdr Jacobson's arrival. As he arrived, they were both greeted by Capt Thompson Under LtCmdr Drexel, Engineering prepares for the Vindicator's departure. LtCmdr Jacobson has a rough time in engineering, and is assigned to repair the waste solidifiers by the officer on duty. Lt Stadi checked the plasma injectors in Engineering before the Vindicator went to warp. LtCmdr Jacobson noted a problem with the environmental systems. To train his department, LtCmdr Drexel pulled a loss of atmosphere alarm, to test his crew's responces. Stadi and Jacobson responded and put on protective gear. The Chief helped equip his two engineers with proper Engineering coveralls, before dismissing them to their quarters to get used to the ship. Ens Kryton reported to duty as a science officer to Commander Ael'Dharvanek. Ens Turner prepared himself in his quarters for the first shift on the Vindicator. He goes onto the bridge and reports for duty, at the helm station. Ens Kryton meets her superior in the science dept, Lieutenant Vance. The Berkeley is discovered and a Dominion weapons signature is detected. Thompson prepares the ship for battle but discovers that there are no ships in range. He orders an away team to help recover and repair the Berkeley and for a probe to be launched to explore a nearby nebula. Ens Borkovei received his new pip and used the nearby asteroid field in the Vadal system to calibrate his sensors. LtCmdr Drexel prepared Engineering for the red alert, and then worked to form an Away team to rescue the Berkeley.
