Hello everyone!

This week we welcomed aboard many new faces and we're starting to look more   and more like a concerted crew. I sent a Captain's log last night that  formally starts us off on our first mission.

While LtCmdr Steele is bridge officer, the Vindicator arrives at SB Versailles and begins an orbit around the Yadalla system. Capt Thompson arrives at Versailles via shuttlecraft and goes to meet the admiral.

Cdt Billard boarded the Vindicator and reported in to Security and LtJG Stadi also arrived from Starbase 99.  Stadi reported in to the ship and went to his quarters, meeting LtJG Vance on the way.  LtJG Vance met LtJG Stadi and they enjoyed some time together sharing a drink in the lounge, getting to know each other.

Lt Vance and LtCmdr Dex noticed a cylindrical object near Starbase 99 from the sensors in stellar cartography emitting chronaton particles. 
LtCmdr Dex designs an antichroniton generator and tests it, while thinking about the past.  LtJG Vance's analysis of the chroniton source was sent to Dex, who took a shuttle to neutralize the anomoly with the antichroniton device he designed. Hearing that the Vindicator arrived, he took the shuttle to the shuttlebay. On the trip back, the device malfunctioned, so it had to be jettisoned before they could land in the shuttlebay.

Capt. Thompson reported into Vice Admiral Kanryth, who ordered him to take Command of the Vindicator and  try to locate the USS Berkeley. Cmdr Ael`Dharvanek reported to Capt Thompson and she was briefed on the coming mission. She suggested that cloaked probes be used to protect the ship from undue risk.

LtCmdr Jacobson was in the SB 99 lounge and was located by security officers and taken to his new assignment, albeit forcefully.
 
In 2374, the USS Cortez was destroyed by 3 Dominion attackships, with the loss of all hands. An errant torpedo was sent into a fluctuation between normal space and subspace. Capt. Kingsley was commanding the Berkley when it struck a 20 year old Dominion torpedo, crippling the ship.

Cdt Borkovei reported to the Wing Commander, who informed the squadron that they'd be assigned to the Vindicator and that Borkovei would have tactical duties on the bridge of that starship. He arrived at Versailles in his fighter and used Romulan codes to access one of their satellites, much to his Wing Commander's displeasure.

Ens Naba made his final purchases at the various shops in Starbase 22 before beaming over to report for duty.

2Lt Zyren was unaccustomed to being an officer and took some time to arrange things in her new, officer-issued quarters.

 All officers and crew are here to have fun, and that is our utmost  priority. We require, however, that all crew write at least 1 quality log,  once a week, after they have joined. If, for some reason, you are unable  to log one week, or plan on going on holiday or whatever, then send an  excusal to the command team. Remember a '0' is bad for you.
