Our sim is chat based and you will need to download some software to start.  There are several free programs that you can download  They are:

http://www.mirc.com/	mIRC is by far, the most popular client in use for Internet Relay Chat on the Windows platform. There are versions of this client available for both 16-bit and 32-bit versions of Windows, including Windows 3.1, Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, and XP. Please ensure that you download the appropriate version of this client for your version of Windows.
http://www.pirch.com/	pIRCh is another popular IRC client for Windows. Again, versions of pIRCh exist for multiple versions of Windows. Though not quite as popular as mIRC, pIRCh has the advantage of letting you connect to multiple servers at the same time.
http://www.visualirc.net/	Many features, integration with Windows Explorer, shared whiteboard, color, multiple servers, scripting language, English Spanish and German, and (via ActiveX) can be scripted routines in VBScript, JavaScript, Perl, Python, or any other ActiveX scripting language.

We also use what is called a "bot".  A bot is used to help bring the sim to life by connecting sounds with certain words or commands.  One of the things our bot does is act as a waitress.  For a list of bot commands please click here.  To get the sounds please click here and unzip them into you're sounds directory.
