I.R.I.S.

Interstellar Reconnaissance Intelligence Satellite or I.R.I.S. is one of Confederation Intelligence's finest unmanned creations. Designed with a built in cloak and a highly advanced sensor dampening field, this array is virtually impossible to detect if you do not know where to look. Considered one of the higher classified secrets of Starfleet Intelligence, very few people know of I.R.I.S., much less where it is located.

This array's capabilities are remarkable. Packed with nearly every kind of sensor package available for use and rumored to have even more, IRIS versatility is virtually unlimited. The telescopic lenses inside the array can observe a 150 light year radius around itself. During the initial placement, the array was set up to focus primarily on the Neutral Zone and into Romulan space.
