| ARTICLE I - LEVELS |
| Section A: |
The UCIP shall have a uniform rank-classification system, known simply
as Levels, with which equality between Simmers in different Divisions, regardless of the Divisions' specific titling policies, may be maintained.
The UCIP Levels system shall be based on two organization-wide
concepts: Time Participated and Effort.
IC Divisions may choose their own rank names, the number of ranks, and
those ranks' spread across the Levels.

There shall be 5 UCIP Level, representing, but not
restricting usage as: Simmers, Experienced Simmers, Simmers Leading a
SIM, Simmers Leading Multiple SIMs, and Simmers Leading The Organization.

| ARTICLE III - DEMOTION POLICY |

Should a Simmer break with policies specified in the Articles of Simmer
Conduct , or otherwise causes harm to the UCIP, they
may face repercussions.
The Simmer's direct chain of command may request a 'resetting of time
requirement' or a 'reduction in level' to their Division Commander. Such
a request must accompany a detailed justification. Upon receipt, the
Division Commander will conduct an investigation not to exceed 7
operational days. The Division Commander will release their decision,
and post notice to the Office of Logistics. No more than one level may
be reduced in this fashion.
Should such a request be submitted against a Division Commander, or a
Request to the Division Commander stipulates more than one level reduced
from an offending Simmer, the Commander In Chief will preside over the
investigation. The Commander In Chief will have 7 operational to weigh
the issues, at the end of which they must supply their decision to the
Governing Body, and send a note to Logistics.

All Level advancements and IC
character promotions should be reported to logistics. Level
advancements should include a copy of the notice from academy for any
courses neccessary, or the notice from the Division of approval of the
promotion.
Level 4 and 5 must use the
Senior Member Advancement form, sent through the chain of command to
attain approval.
