MISSION DEBRIEFING:

=/\= Last Week =/\=

The Gemini was ordered to proceed to a system were a starfleet
ship had gone missing. Upon arrival to the system, they began scans
to locate the starship. After locating it, wrecked on one of the
systems planets, the ship orbitted the planet and an away team was
beamed down. The wrecked ship's CO was t he only survivor, and was
beamed back to the Gemini to be treated for his injuries. Meanwhile,
back inside the wreckage of the ship, the away team attempted to
download some of the ship's logs, only to find, certain entries had
been deleted, this caused a few eyebrows to raise.

Several moments after it was determined the wrecked ship's CO was unfit
to answer questions, another Starfleet vessel warped into the
system and went to an orbit at the same planet, not far off from
the Gemini. The ship was the USS-Farragut-C, a galaxy class ship.
After a short discussion with the Commanding Officer of the
Farragut, Captain David T. Kirk, via the viewscreen, the XO of
the Gemini, who was the brother of the Captain of the Farragut,
informed his captain, that not only was the Farragut-C decomissioned
after a battle during the Dominion War, but his brother had died
during a boarding by Dominion Forces. Commander Hencz quickly ordered
to hail the ship again. However, before there was time, the Farragut
launched a torpedo...

=/\= Recent Situation =/\=

...Commander Hencz, quickly ordered Red Alert, but before the shields
had gone up, the torpedo slammed into the hull..and sent him flying
across the bridge, and into the helm consoled knocked out, with a
possible concusion. He was quickly beamed to sickbay. Several casualties
were also reported as well as moderate damage. A long battle ensued
afterwards, as both ships exchanged torpedos and phaser fire.
Back inside the wreckage, the Away Team was unaware about what was
going on in space. Only after a large team of Cardassian soldiers
beamed into the wreckage to seize it, did they start to get an idea
of what was going on. A fighter was launched from the Gemini to assist
in the battle against the Farragut.

Unaware to the crew onboard the Gemini, a Cardassian ship had entered
the system, under a sensor cloak, while the battle was raging on.
After the Farragut had managed to punch a hole in one side of the
Gemini's shields, a group of five cardassian's beamed into the Gemini's
Bridge and temporarilly seized control of the ship. After the fighter
pilot returned to the Gemini, he made his way to the bridge to report
his sucess in destroying the Farragut's fighter bay.

However, he was greeted by the cardassian party, but was able to kill
the lead Cardassian before he knew what hit him. Though he was detained
afterwards. After one of the other Cardassian's stepped up to take
control of the situation, by ordering ships defenses and weapons
to be taken off line, The Executive officer signaled the helmsman
to deactivate the gravity on the bridge. Immediatly afterwards, the bridge
crew ambushed the Cardassian's in the ensuing chaos. Only two survived, one
injured, and after they were treated the were detained in the brig, for
interrogation.

Back in the wreckage, after being captured for a short period of time
the Chief Engineer, eluded his captors, and made his way to the
fighter bay. After configuring the fighter he launched, from the planet
and made his way into space. One important, note of his configurations
was that he was able to make the Cardassian starship, belive that
the fighter was, indeed, an Intrepid Class ship. Surprisingly enough,
he managed to destroy the Cardassian ship, with an impressive tactic.

Afterwards, The Executive Officer, who was in Command, due to
the CO being incapacitated, transmitted the Farragut's prefix
code and effectivly lowered it's shields. The Farragaut was then
disabled and now floats adrift. After the Chief Engineer made it
back to the Gemini, it was suggested that a team would beam over
to investigate. A fleet of salvage freighters, along with two
Akira Class escorts are enroute to clean up the wrecked ship.

Will the Gemini's crew find out what is going on?

Tune in next time...same- well you must have watched the old
batman T.V. series, you get the idea..

CURRENT LOCATION: Salaris Sector.

DAMAGE REPORT: Moderate damage to some onboard ship systems.

Acting Executive Officer's log:

Great sim people. Though, I'm not pointing fingers, and not trying
to sound mean, I want to clarify that, there is an In Character chain
of command as well as an Out of Character one, so don't make a mockery
of any Command Staff's decision...because that usually doesn't get
you brownie points. ;)

Anyway...next week we will be continuing this plot..I also would
like to see some logs about the sims, just a suggestion though, But I'd
like to see if you, the crew, can write logs as well. :) Also, I just
want to say, that, I wish everyone to bear with Kody and myself. We are
fairly new to the Command Staff world, and scince most of you are new
to UCIP...::Steals a line from a ST: Bridge Commander cut-scene::...

We will all be learning lessons together. In a sense, it is
our duty as the Command Staff, to "teach" you, as this is for most of
you, your first sim here in UCIP. So please, bear with us,
in the comming months, as we, and hopefully you, are learning to become
better simmers(Not that you aren't already) and in our case, we
also learn to become better leaders of this fine group of simmers.
Maybe some day we will win the Bergen Award. However, that is only
a thought in the back of my mind. Though I still..have big hopes for
the Gemini, and intend, to help lead, this fine group of new and some
veteran simmers, to be one of the greatest sims, in UCIP, and quite
possible one of the Best, it has ever seen the likes of...

I will not rest untill that happens...Well, I probably will sleep,
and take time for real life education and what not..but I won't
abandon this sim, I just don't have the heart to do it, nor do I
want to see this sim fade away into dust..I am going to stick
with it, and help make the simmers make it great again...unless I
get transfered...just kidding...Executive Officers have still got
to have a sense of humor ya know. ;)

But all in all...just remember to have FUN! That's what were all
here for. :)

Sincerely,

Lieutenant Commander James M. Kirk
