MISSION DEBRIEFING:
The Gemini departed from Starbase 001 on a shakedown cruise. They
started by testing the warp engines, by warping to Pluto. Before
they managed to test the weapons, several key systems had power
failures. After it was determined that they could still proceed
while repairs went underway, they decided to test the phasers
and new tricobalt torpedos on some combat droids. Suddenly,
within the bowels of the ship, a mysterious intruder took the
chief of security hostage in a twisted turn of events. However,
before leaving the intruder notified the commanding officer that
the warp core would blow up in a short ammount of time, and then
dissapeared in a puff of smoke. Though, the chief engineer managed
to avert the breach at the last second, but not before, a holographic
romulan warbird, which was created to test the ship and her crew in
battle, decloaked and added to the chaos. After being unable to deactivate
it, the ship retaliated, trying to hit the area where the holographic
matrix was hidden. When it was realized the ship could not get an
accurate shot, fighters were dispatched to take care of the problem.
Though some of the crew were skeptical that the holographic warbird,
could inflict damage, it was later made clear that the warbird was
indeed outfitted with low powered weapons of its real life equivilent.
After a short battle, engineering was able to figure out a way to use
the deflector dish to halt the holographic effect and to reveal the
source of the problems. The holographic matrix was then destroyed and
the ship proceeded back to Starbase 001, to get minor repairs, and
to have the bugs fixed.
CURRENT LOCATION: Docked at Starbase 001.
DAMAGE REPORT: Minor damage to some onboard ship systems.

Acting Executive Officer's log:
An excellent sim all in all, for the first sim we have had in quite
some time. I am happy to see that we have finnaly gotten some new
crew members, and I would like to personally welcome them to the
Gemini. Next week we will be starting a new plot, so I hope you
can all be there. Those who were absent this sim have been
excused because it can be hard to tell if we were going to sim
or not. Anyhow, before I finish, I would like to take a moment
to encourage the writting of logs, over the Gemini mailinglist.
Not only will this increase RP, it does have it's advantages.
For instance, if you have 3 weeks untill you have met your
promotion time requirement, and you sim that week, and only
have 2 weeks left, but you miss the next..normally you would
still have 2 weeks untill your promotion time requirement is met.
However, if you miss a week, you can make it up by doing 2 logs,
at any time, during the week, untill the next sim. Now this can be
a duty log, or a personal log. But don't go overboard in it. Do
something like routine maintenance, running diagnostics, or hanging
out in the lounge or holodeck. Also, don't use other's characters
in your logs, unless you are both doing a Joint log, in which you
both write in the same log and send it over the list as one log.
Oh, and doing 2 logs if you didn't miss the sim won't remove a
week from your promotion time requirment. Though doing them is
still encouraged. Alrighty, just making things aware to the new crew.
I'd really like to see logs though, so I hope you give them a try.
Also, I hope everyone had a good time at tonights sim, and please
even though I am content with the ammount of crew, tell your friends
who might be intrested. That would be a great help. Thanks.
