MISSION DEBRIEFING

 

       After negotion attempts proved unsuccessful with the obtained

'enemy' Vulcan, and the possibility of (a) superior technology

cloaked ship(s) following the Gemini, Plekanov made the last-minute

decision to call a conference. Here it was announced that the ship

was to head outside of UCIP space until a logical explanation could

be reached. 

        The reason for this, as Plekanov explained, was for the

protection of the Starfleet itself. Since the Gemini was carrying

a Vulcan from this apparent terrorist organization, it was assumed

that they could use this Vulcan as bait to lead any vessels following

the Gemini, vessels which could otherwise be used for destruction.

Unfortunately for the crew, there was a highly self-sacrificial tone

to this decision, as it opened the door for the Gemini itself to be

more easily destroyed.

         Just as the conference was over, Colford reported minor

deterioration of some of the ship's systems. Plekanov, assuming

this was the work of the apparent terrorist group, immediately

set course for the quickest possible way out of UCIP space.

Acting Commanding Officer's log;

Attendance was once again decent, which is comparitively a good

thing, looking at our records during our "extended" holiday break.

Looking at the high amount of LOAs, though, expecting a large

increase will be unrealistic. I should point out that, all absences for the

moment will be considered excused, since as XO I will not be

performing roster drops (this makes recording unexcused/excused

absences somewhat irrelevant). Please still excuse yourself if you are

planning to be absent, however. It makes things much easier.

 

I have not heard from Carpenter yet, so I'll assume he is still

experiencing major technical difficulties. Hopefully he will return

as soon as possible.

 

Good SIM, however. I hope to see you all next week.
