A number of subfleet and division level awards were announced today by Jaeneva, leader of Beta Subfleet, for the efforts that her fleet's staff and SIMmers have been putting into the subfleet and the group.
The division would like to offer its thanks to those in Beta who have worked for these awards and hopes that the SIMulations of Beta Subfleet will continue in their growing success into the future.
Jaeneva made the following announcement...
I would like to take the opportunity to give out some awards. It is with great pleasure that I award the following members of Beta:
Runty - For giving all of himself to Versailles, and bringing it from the brink of death, you are hereby awarded the the FLEET CROSS FOR MERIT - This medal is the highest award that can be given for a single OOC acheivement no matter how large it was. Your tireless efforts at recruiting new members to the SIM and bringing her back to life show a dedication to the SIM that is rare to find in UCIP.
Frankie - For the work and effort you have put into the Intrepid for the last year, melding both old crew, and new crew together to create a stronger unit, and even attracting back old Intrepid crew, making her one of the strongest SIMs in UCIP, you are hereby awarded the FLEET CROSS FOR MERIT - This medal is the highest award that can be given for a single OOC acheivement no matter how large it was. Your work and dedication on a SIM that you had never been involved with before is worthy of note within UCIP for its rarity.
James - For the work and effort you have put into reviving the Dirae, bringing her from the point of being shut down to making her one of the power loggers in Beta, you are hereby awarded the FLEET CROSS FOR MERIT - This medal is the highest award that can be given for a single OOC acheivement no matter how large it was. You have brought back old members of UCIP, creating a renewed interest for them in SIMming on the Dirae.
Crew of Versailles - For the creation and running of a plot which pulled in the entirety of Beta, you are hereby awarded the FLEET UNIT CITATION - Award used to recognise effort put into a fleet wide plot that is visible to and/or affects the entire fleet. The Unit Citation is given to a ship, or the members specifically involved in the incident for the efforts they put into creating a well thought-out simplot that enjoyably affected the Organisation. Your plot involving the Vanguard and destruction of Versailles not only pulled in all of Beta Fleet, but has spilled outside of Beta onto other SIMs in UFP.
Crew of Dirae - For the creation and running of a plot which affected Beta and UFP on the Fleet Level, you are hereby awarded the FLEET UNIT CITATION - Award used to recognise effort put into a fleet wide plot that is visible to and/or affects the entire fleet. The Unit Citation is given to a ship, or the members specifically involved in the incident for the efforts they put into creating a well thought-out simplot that enjoyably affected the Organisation. Your plot involving the duping of Admiral Kanryth, and the Dirae's apparent defection to the Vanguard, not only included all of Beta Fleet, but continued after the destruction of Versailles and Intrepid, in including other SIMs in Beta.
Crew of Intrepid - For the creation of a plot which involved the entirety of Beta Fleet, you are hereby awarded the FLEET UNIT CITATION - Award used to recognise effort put into a fleet wide plot that is visible to and/or affects the entire fleet. The Unit Citation is given to a ship, or the members specifically involved in the incident for the efforts they put into creating a well thought-out simplot that enjoyably affected the Organisation. Your plot involving the destruction of the Intrepid included and involved all of Beta Fleet, even using an existing SIM to cause her destruction.
Crew of Crazy Horse, Dirae, Intrepid and Versailles - For your participation in the successful joint plot involving the destruction of Versailles and the Intrepid, you are hereby awarded the BRONZE QUILL AWARD - This award is an OOC Unit Citation issued to all simmers involved in a plot that warrants the award in a single sim or wider group of sims.
Taverain Ramius - For your work with Beta IC, writing logs that enhance our SIMming environment on the Fleet level, and adding to an intriguing background story for our SIMs, you are hereby awarded the NOVA CROSS FOR MERIT - Award for a large OOC accomplishment that is visible on the Subfleet level even if it was only intended to affect one simulation. For example, a plot that was only meant to be specific to one ship, but spills out onto subfleet lists and provides for highly enjoyable reading for people outside of the sim would warrant a Nova Cross. - Tav, thank you for your hard work and use of various characters to add to the overall story.
