Reaper Class
[edit] HistoryThe CK-21 Reaper Class, named because of the special black and dark red paint scheme that make it almost impossible to see visually until it’s right on top of you, was developed for the USS Warrior by the Wing Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Mike “Phantom” Johnson, with assistance from the tactical and engineering departments. It was conceived to replace losses suffered while fighting the Zybor in defense of Starbase 204:Zetari. All but three of the Valkyries that made up the Warriors fighter compliment were destroyed. Of the three remaining, only two of the Valkyries were space worthy. This bothered Johnson so he presented a plan to bring the Warriors fighters up to code. Captain Paris, the Warrior CO, agreed and approved the plan almost immediately. [edit] Technical Summary
[edit] Detailed Technical Information[edit] Spaceframe
[edit] Propulsion Systems
[edit] Impulse DriveThe impulse engine is located in between the wings at the center of the fusel lodge. Gravitic Impulse incorporate 3 main components. Graviton Generators, Magnetic Particle Accelerators, and Vector Specific Pulse generator. Graviton generators create Graviton Particles which are then channeled through a series of magnetic based Particle Accelerators that hyperexcite the particles to a higher energy domain. This component controls the desired speed. The higher the speed the higher the energy domain has to be. For more indepth information please see Gravitic Impulse [edit] Warp DriveCryogenic Multi Matter Warp Core which is in essence a series of smaller cores linked in a Matrix to ultimately create one big core. Matrix Warp Cores take up about the same physical room in a ship + / - but are 50%-60% more efficient than Non Matrix engines. For more indepth information please see Cryogenic Matrix Warp Core [edit] Defensive Systems
[edit] DeflectorsDiaxilated shielding with this new advance in technology Shield emmiters are now able to generate Two (2) sets of "Nets" laced into one another to create a more closely bound energy matrix and thus improving shield efficency. This is considered a Modification of the Emmiters which are capable of emmiting only a Single web in cases of power sortage with only minor "modifications" to software protocals. For further information please see Diaxilated Shields [edit] PhasersTwo forward facing pulse phaser cannons incased in the wing, one on each side four feet from the cockpit, and four type IV phaser segments, two on the dorsal port and starboard and two ventral port and starboard, at the aft of each wing. While this leaves a spot directly to the aft open, the ‘blind’ spot is negligible, an enemy fighter would need to be level with the Reaper and hold at most ten meters from the aft of the fighter. For further information please see Phaser [edit] Projectile WeaponsAft and five feet port and starboard of the cockpit sit the micro torpedo launchers, separated by the single tail fin. The micotorpedo launchers can house 100 13 centimeter microtorpedos each launcher and is able to fire at a rate of thirteen microtorpedos a second. While this does mean that the torpedoes can be run through in eight seconds, the standard operation is to only fire six torpedo bursts at a time. As another feature of the launcher, it can be set, much like an M16, to fire a single torpedo at a time, fire a burst of six or go to full automatic fire mode. In the single fire mode the launchers are able to fire independent of each other while in the burst and full automatic modes the launchers are linked. It is possible to override the linked fire mode but not advised as it cuts the firing rate in half. [edit] Hard Points/OptionsAlong with the standard weapons the Reaper has five hard points, two each wing and one centerline, that can be configured to carry a variety of combinations depending on the mission. There are a few limitations, such as only being able to carry a maximum loadout of three full size quantum or photon torpedoes or the multi directional phaser cannon only being able to fit on the centerline of the fighter, which can be controlled much like the 20th and 21st century AH-64 Longbows nose cannon. The pilots visor has a built in retical that can be linked to the cannon and provide a visual view of where it’s pointing. The cannons movement itself can be controlled by the pilots head movements, if the pilot looks left the cannon moves left. Alternatively the cannon can be controlled manually by a rocker lever on the front of the throttle. Firing the cannon still id done from the flight sticks main trigger however. With it’s hard points the Reaper can do anything from laying mines to doing recon.
[edit] Hull ArmorPolarizing reactive armor (4.0 centimeters): The armor is one of the strangest pieces of technology on the vessel. A derivative of Dominion technology, they are essentially a magnum upgrade of an archaic technology. Called polarizing reactive hull armor, the armor channels an electrical pulse through it, polarizing the electrical charge in it to deflect energy and concussion damage. The last time this technology was used was on the Daedalus-class, before the deployment of the first practical energy-based deflector shields.

[edit] Computer SystemsPhoto-NanoTech Computer Core, PN Core MK I, computer core. This core is the latest leap forward in computing technology in the Federation. It is based around the principles of earlier isolinear systems but represents a massive leap forward in capability. Utilizing advanced photonic manipulation technology within a solid state computing optimized substratre, the core operates much faster than previous systems. It is built to take advantage of the wave particle nature of light and utilizes parallel processing on a huge scale using quantum computing. The capacity of the core is staggering compared to even recent models using lesser technology. It is so powerful an efficient that the artificial intelligence operating in its software could easily become sentient if the programming did not prevent this. The AI has been ‘turned off’ as there is no real need for it when the fighters are manned. However, it was kept with the core in case a pilot should become incapacitated or there is a shortage of pilots. There is a single holographic emitter in the cockpit in the control panel directly under the HUD to be able to activate the holographic pilot, dubbed the Emergency Pilot Program. As was done with the early EMH program, the EFP was modeled after the creator, Colonel Johnson. The EFP can be activated manually by the pilot or the command ship and can also be set as a ‘dead mans switch’ where it activates automatically when the pilot loses consciousness, is take out of his bird for what ever reason or has died.
This allows the Squadron or wing Commanders greater freedom because they no longer would need to tie into each fighters computer to remotely pilot it, they would just issue orders to the AI itself. The emitter can be adjusted so the EFP can appear outside of the fighter, but it cannot go more then few kilometers away, so that if the need arises it can perform minor emergency repairs. The other benefit of this core, and the reason for the choice, is with it’s high processing speed and storage it allows the Reaper to fulfill the role of a scout craft.
