Welcome to Zetari Station

Greetings, and welcome to Starbase 204-A: 'Zetari Station', Task Group 5.9, and the adventure of a lifetime. We’re Commodore Julianna Kaye, the station's Commanding Officer and the Executive Officer Commander Garth Triss.
Zetari Station is an Athena class space station, positioned in the heart of the Gamma Quadrant, just a stone's throw from both the Bajoran, and Spinward wormholes. As the major Starfleet Hub in the Gamma Quadrant, we see a lot of species from all over the galaxy. To assist in the station's exploratory, and defensive endeavors, the Akira-X class USS Mjolnir-A has been assigned as our support ship, she have already proven herself both in battle, and exploration.
Feel free to browse through Zetari's website, and if you have any questions, comments, if you want to join or just want to say hi, we'd love to hear from you. The Command Team can be reached via the Zetari Command List, and we tend to get back to messages as quickly as possible.
Zetari is a Play By E-Mail (PBeM) SIMulation in UCIP, assigned to the Federation's Third Fleet, under the command of Rear Admiral Jack Hanson.
Whether you're already a crewmember, considering joining, or just browsing around, I would like to personally thank you for your interest in Starbase 204-A. Again, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact us, otherwise 'Live long, and prosper.'

Hey all!
It seems that with the growth of our crew, and the laziness of some of us (Bo and I included) it's time for a short review on mailing list procedures! :D Let me start by saying, y'all have adapted wonderfully to the website and the zetari@ list is not even an issue -- so thank you, for excelling beyond any other crew in the UCIP :D
There are two other lists, however, that we want you to be familiar with and use properly: zetari-ooc@ucip.org and zetari-command@ucip.org. For such a large group of people, it's important that we respect everyone and not spam, and that we try to make things as easy as possible for ourselves -- seriously, it's a game :D and we want to have fun, and our multiple lists help to provide a structure for that fun!
Zetari-OOC
The OOC list is for SIM-wide OOC communication. Remember, anything you send over this list gets sent to everyone. If you want to do a personal message, use the website. (If you have questions on how to use the site PM system, ask one of us or a fellow crewmember). These emails go to everyone, so please be conscientious of what you send over this list (and what you reply to -- since when you reply to an OOC email, by default it replies to the list and not the sender). Spamming over this list is not accepted and is punishable by death.
Zetari-Command
This is the main line of communication between y'all and us (Bo & Juls). We try to be on IRC 24/7, and we spend a lot of time chatting with y'all one and one (awesome!) but, sometimes SIM things get lost in the fun! What does this translate to: If you are unable to log, you need to send an email to zetari-command@ and let us know. This means that log excusals are NOT granted through site PM's, emails sent either to Bo or I individually or requests made over IRС. Emailing us takes just a few seconds and then it doesn't matter who's compiling what for the report -- both Bo and I need to be well informed. Additionally -- if you have questions, complaints or suggestions, it's awesome that you talk to us on IRC, but if it's something that both Bo and I should know about, please email the list. Currently it's not being utilized well, and we want to change that!
Other than these two minor issues, y'all are performing far beyond that which I could have ever hoped for from a crew and I am privileged to write with each and everyone of you! The plot logs have been written and will be posted this weekend, so wrap up the rest of your R&R and be ready for more action and fun!
Happy SIMming,
Juls & Bo

Short this week -- corresponding with smaller log counts ;) Ok -- this is the last week of R&R! Bo and I have already begun to put things into motion for the next plot and have started the teaser. There's nothing to worry about, and if you didn't read last weeks COA, because you were skimming through the report, use this time to do it! Go ... (re)read it!
Happy week and this time next week, we'll be in the (surprise name to follow) plot!

Category: This Week on Star Trek: Zetari
First off -- let's welcome the new people, it seems that R&R is the time where we attract new people (we should do R&R more often), so make a point to meet our FIVE 'new' crewmembers! ((who have already joined, or in the process of doing so:)) Be sure to joint log and get t know them before we jump into our plot.
So ... another fun week has passed -- very soon, we will be starting our new plot, and as I've encouraged for the last few weeks, we'd love to see this logging enthusiasm continue from beginning to end of plot! Given that you don't have anything else to read from me this last week, I want to use this time to share with y'all a little about SIMming from the command team's perspective ;)
I want y'all to know how we see things here; it may be different than your command structure and perhaps other command teams than you've had in the past. Our objective is to provide y'all with a plot line that allows everyone (with varying degrees of effort) to make a contribution and cooperate with others. Hopefully, using the structure we provide (which decreases in fortitude following the first week) y'all can work with one another, throw in your own twists and construct a complete story by the final week of the plot.
As such, Bo and I see our roles as plot providers and directors, in so much as, we give you a very clear starting point, help you a bit along the way and have a very vague idea as to where we want it to end. While it may seem strange that we don't have a 'perfect ending' planned out, it's because we want to see where y'all go with the plot. Half of the fun for us is reading your logs and responding as well. A lot of CO's don't leave such a free range of motion for their crews, because there's a lot of doubt that crews can handle the responsibility of plot twists without everyone throwing in twenty different things. These CO's also have a perfect end in site and their crews must be able to navigate the (oft unspoken) wishes of their game master.
Now, while that often leads to wonderfully thought out stories, I know from experience that players (that's all y'all who are still reading) will get bored of this eventually, because your creative juices aren't being used to their full potential. Bo and I have had the privilege of working with some of you (and each other) for over a year ... that's a long time in the SIMming world. This has allowed us to get to know y'all both IC adnd OOC, and we trust you to contribute to the plot -- we don't always know what you're going to do (and that's exciting for everyone!) but we know that you are all excellent writers and more than capable of helping us form these stories.
So, all that being said -- when the new plot starts, let's not be so hesitant to log happenings nor so reticent to wait for development solely from the Command Team. Use those brains and fingers and let's make this plot (and the ones to come) better than ever before!
Happy last week of R&R!
