Formation Commander(FLO CO, STRGRU CO, BATGRU CO, TF CO, TG CO)

They are also responsible for awarding and reccomending ship or installation wide awards, such as as a crews heroism in defense of a planet, ship or instalation or, in the case of bringing a new race into the Federation, calling the Fleet Commands attention to it through an awards request. Most of the above is done by either visits to the CO/crews ship or by them coming to the Formation Command Ship. The Formation CO works with all the staff attached to the Formation to ensure the safety and proper deployment of all Formation assets.

Formation Executive Officer (FLO XO, STRGRU XO, BATGRU XO, TF XO, TG XO)

The Formation Executive Officer is the Formation CO's right hand officer and hold the rank of Commander up to one rank below the Formation CO and may double as the Executive Officer or Commanding officer of the Command Ship. They support and assist the Formation CO in all the command duties in addition to taking over Command of the Formation when the Formation CO is down or unavailable. They also act as a sounding board, offering advice and listening to ideas on most decisions. The Formation XO and Formation CO should work as a team and keep each other as informed as possible about what projects or anything going on with the Formation they have.

Command Ship Chief Helm Officer (CSCHelm)

Command Ship Chief Operations Officer(CSOPS)

To ensure that information flows in between the Formation Commander, the other Command Ship/Formation officers, and, at times, Fleet Command. (S)he act as the Chief Operations Officer on one of the ships, most often on the Command Ship in addition to Formation duties, and handles new assignments of officers when they arrive and (s)he keeps track of what is going on on each of the ships in the Formation...where problems might arise or where people might be needed.

(S)he basically handles the "operations ..the workings of the fleet" and makes recommendations IC to the Formation. The Command Ship Chief Operations Officer is responsible for allocating resources throughout the Formation, including theyir own ship, as well as requisitioning equipment, supplies, etc. for the Formation. The Officer's job is to make sure that all the Ships and installation assigned to the Formation have enough supplies and resources to function at maximum efficiency.

Command Ship Chief Engineering Officer(CSCEng)

The Command Ship Chief Engineering Officer is responsible for the repair, maintenance and upgrades of ships/any instalations and systems assigned to the Formation. They should also liaise with the Fleet Head Engineer on new developments and relay this information to the Chief Engineers of the Formations ships.

Command Ship Chief Medical Officer(CSCMO)

The Command Ship Chief Medical Officer is responsible for looking after the health and well-being of Starfleet personnel stationed in the Formation, co-ordinating with the Chief Medical Officer's aboard Formations Starships and Starbases. The Command Ship Chief Medical Officer also liaeses with the Fleet Medical Officer to keep the Starships assigned to the formation up-to-date on new Medical technology as well as up-to-date information on the physiologies of Alien Species.

In addition to this, the Command Ship Chief Medical Officer tracks and combats epidemics that might be in the the Formation area of operation, as directed by the Fleet Medical Officer, and brings reccomendations to the Formation Command to dispatch personnel to assist civilian medical authorities in the area when necessary, and conducts Medical training programs for the Formation medical officers. Preferably someone that has an interest in medicine or SCI...this person would be responsible for seeing that all of us are fit for duty. This is actually modeled after the USAF Flight Nurse position..they're the ones that can actually ground a pilot....the Command Ship Chief Medical Officer would also be like the Formations version of the forensics. It could be someone that has a penchant for research and perhaps wants to work with the CSCSci officer..medicine isn't always about the day to day ailments of people and things :) it has many facets, such as improving medical treatments.

This person would provide leadership as a whole to the Formations medical officers, ensure that the officers are upholding medical ethics, that the quality of care is being maintained and this person would be on the look out for things like new diseases that could pose a potential health risk to people. (one example was when UCIP experienced an outbreak of a new strain of chicken pox. It was hilarious)

Command Ship Chief Security Officer(CSCSec)

The Command Ship Chief Security Officer is responsible for the planning of any Security needed for diplomatic functions, or the security during conveyance of ambassadors/mediators to their place of destination. They are also responsible for the security of the Senior Staff, and ships/facilities in the Formation in conjunction with any other on-site security forces. The CSCSec would be the person in charge of investigating Formation level matters, ie a serial killer moving throughout the Formation.

The CSCSec officer would be responsible for the safety of important personages and dignitaries and would work with the CSec Officers and any Intelligence Officers in the Formation to investigate matters that the Formation Command deems to be causes for alarm or suspicion. The CSCSec is also responsible for keeping contact with the Head of Fleet Security to get up-to-date information on new security protocols, tactics, personal weapons and self defense training as well as posting bulletins about security breaches or any other security matter that may affect the Formantion.

Command Ship Chief Tactical Officer (CSCTac)

The Command Ship Chief Tactical Officer is responsible for the planning of the Formation's Strategic Defenses, drawing up battle plans and defensive schemes with the other Formarmation CTac's for the Formation. The CSCTac oversees Strategic operations and tactics of threat species, also helping to develop and initiate training simulations against enemy species. They also check on the Formations tactical readiness and help the tactical officers throughout the Formation make any holes stronger and keeps in touch with the Head of Fleet Stratigic Operations to keep updated on new weapons that Formation may be interested in.

Command Ship Chief Science Officer(CSCSci)

The Command Ship Chief Science Officer is responsible for overseeing all Science related operations within the Formation, from planetary surveys to Scientific expeditions to investigations of astronomical phenomena. Science Officers throughout the Formation report to the Command Ship Chief Science Officer, sending in reports for the CSCSci to review, who shares their information with the Formation Commander, as well as the Head of Fleet Sciences, thus keeping Fleet Command up-to-date on all Science matters within the Formation.

Command Ship First Force Units Liason (CSFFUL)

the Command Ship First Force Units Liason is the enior First Force Unit officer who oversees the First Force operations within the Formation. This person would keep the Formation CO up to date on all First Force Teams/Units and making suggestions as to deployments in the Formation. Given that each First Force Unit operates independant of the other with the Ship or Formation CO as the overall Commander, this person is would not be a commander of all Units, but a link to the Formation Command.

Command Ship Squadron/Wing Commander (CSSCO[CSWCO])

The Command Ship Squadron/Wing Commander is responsible for keeping track of all fighter deployments and engagements. They work closely with the CSCTac and CSCOps to send fighters to support ships, installations or planets in the Formations area of operation that are in need. This person would also keep in contact with the Fleet Head of Aerospace Operations to not only report and recieve reports/requests but to keep up with newly developed tactics, training and new fighter designs and passing it on to the Aerospace elements of the Formation. This person would also be responsible for coordinating training sessions around the Formation.
