Biography:

Born 2384, Mike the younger of two sons to David and Lisa Williams grew up in the provincial town of Paris Indiana, Earth. His parents were traditionalists, growing and raising their food and living off the land, relying little on the modern convinces of the day. On their farm they grew or raised all of their food. Their father, a traditionalist, would even fabricate furniture by hand, using the local forest as his material of choice. Along with the natural living, their father taught Mike everything they needed to know about Farming, managing a farm, hunting, tracking game and living off the land. Twelve years younger than his brother Gary, Mike followed along in his footsteps with the family training, his parent hoping that the younger of the two would be content with staying on the farm instead of gallivanting across the universe. Mike had a difficult time with his upbringing. Though he listened and learned everything his father taught him, his mind was elsewhere. Mike was fascinated with the world and the universe wanting to know everything there was about it. Every night he would pear through an antique telescope from the 20th century and dream of all the wondrous places his brother might have been. He would pour over everything he could about astronomy and astro physics in an attempt to draw better pictures in his mind about the nebulas and start clusters he saw. Mike soon decided that he too wanted to explore the stars like his brother. He worked hard in high school and studied everything he could in order to prepare him self for his ultimate goal, Starfleet. Mike was not the brightest kid on the block, things like this did not come naturally to him and he had to work hard at it, so hard that he never had much of a social life. This left him a bit….. lacking in the art of social intercourse, especially with members of the opposite sex. After taking the star fleet entrance exam three times, he finally got in. Mike did not have a problem with the sciences in Starfleet academy his strongest subjects were Astrophysics and stellar cartography. He scored marginal in the tactical and combat courses but engineering and piloting gave him the worst trouble and almost ended his dreams of becoming a Starfleet officer. But thanks to an old dusty instructor, CMDR Reginald Barkley Ret., he was able to muster enough grades to pass. In his first year at the academy, he learned of his brother’s demise. All he had been told was his brother had died in the line of duty, but no one would explain what happened or even where he had been posted when it happened.
