History
Commanding Officer: Captain Henry Glover

Classificatoin: Intrepid (NV)-class
The first starship to bear the name was launched from the Utopia Planetia shipyards in orbit above Mars as the thirteenth ship of its class. The starship created a strong name for itself in Starfleet, eventually becoming the USS Desire NCC-113.
She fought in the Romulan Wars of 2156.
In 2157 she was destroyed with all hands aboard after being ambushed by a Romulan attack fleet.

The secoond ship to bear the name was launched several years later, in 2169. She served a long career, but was decomissioned in 2200 after irreperable damage was caused after contact with a subspace anomoly.

The third ship to carry the registry wasn't launched for nearly 70 years. In 2269 the 113-C was launched from McKinley station, the newest of the Starfleet construction yards. She was among the those ships stationed at the front-lines of the first Federation-Klingon war. She was assigned to a recon mission, searching for the location of the Klingon Black Fleet on Stardate 3918.1, just days before the USS Enterprise established the Organian Peace Treaty. No news ever came of the crew or her commanders. She is listed as 'Missing in Action' after less than a year out of spacedock.

The fourth ship to bear the name was launched in 2290 from the Utopia Planetia construction yeards. She was assigned to the Seventh Support Fleet, under the command of Captain Robert. J. Winegarden. In 2321 she was assigned to the Cardassian border, where tensions had begun rising. In 2347, now under the command of Captain Victor Cross, the Desire-C was directly involved in the beginnings of the Federation-Cardassian war.
She was destroyed in 2352 during the Battle of Vakos Prime, but had time to launch her escape pods. Losses were minimal.

Executive Officer: Lieutenant Commander S'ron
Classification: Steamrunner-class
Launched in 2375, the Desire-D took part during the Dominion War. It took part in a major refit after the battle of Chin'toka, when it was heavily damaged. In 2401 it was assigned to Starfleet's Second "Beta" Fleet as the flagship of the Seventh Support Fleet, now under the command of Lieutenant Commander S'ron.
It was destroyed in 2406 after the Vanguard forces took control of Starbase 400: Versailles. She was destroyed by the shockwaves of her own illegaly used tricobalt torpedoes. Escape pods were launched. Commander S'ron was killed.
Background
The USS Desire NCC-113-D is scheduled to launch from Starbase Twenty-Two in March of 2406. The final modifications and refits are being made to the the USS Enis NX-61000 at Utopia Planetia before being moved to Starbase Twenty-Two.

The current USS Desire (NCC-113-E) was redesignated to this registry from USS Enis (NX-59000) after the prototype starship completed its shakedown cruises.
