History
The USS Crazy Horse NCC-50446 was an Excelsior Class Federation starship in service during the 24th century.
In late 2369, the Crazy Horse was part of a Starfleet task force that was preparing for a possible Borg invasion.
In 2370, the Crazy Horse transported Admiral Erik Pressman to rendezvous with the USS Enterprise-D.
In the early 25 Century, the a new Akira Class Starship was commisioned, it was named the USS Crazy Horse NCC-50446-A
The Crazy Horse-A was lost when it was forced to crash onto a planet's surface. Shortly thereafter the USS Crazy Horse NCC-50446-B was commisioned, also an Akira Class starship.
Background
- The Crazy Horse was named for Chief Crazy Horse of the Oglala Sioux tribe, who resisted American takeover of his people's lands in the 1870s.
Notable Events
On SD240508.xx the USS Crazy Horse travelled back in time to rescue the crew of the USS Repulse, which had been missing for two years. The Crazy Horse managed to rescue the crew, but the Repulse was destroyed in the process.
On SD240510.xx the USS Crazy Horse is invited to the Starbase Starbucks orbiting the planet Mer in sector 926-D to celebrate peace between the Mer'lian and Krivaldi empires. But things go wrong when an unknown group plants a bomb on the station made with Federation technology. The Crazy Horse is blamed and Captain Ariela and her crew are captured and tortured. The USS Intrepid is sent to help them, and with their help they escape to seek the true perpetrators of the crime.
On SD240511.xx the Crazy Horse managed to locate the perpetrators of the attack on the Krivaldi station, Starbase Starbucks. After a brief firefight in the dense clouds of Sector 926-D's nebula the three men were taken custody. After questioning them, the Crazy Horse learned that the Vanguard was behind the attack and set off to find them.
On SD240512.xx the USS Crazy Horse, Captain Jeral Ariela is presumed dead after her symbiant is stolen by a Trill named Eloise who is a member of the Vanguard. Working with the Orions, the Vanguard have created a weapon that they use against the crew of the Crazy Horse. It scrambles the brain waves of whomever its used on so that they become more suceptible to suggestion. In this case, the crew of the horse are told that they are now members of the Vanguard. With the first phase of the Vanguard's plan completed and the first test of the Weapon a sucess, Eloise takes the Crazy Horse to an outpost at the borders of Federation space to gather supplies for creating a second weapon. Which they will use to gather more and more support for the Vanguard.
On SD240601.20 Rear Admiral Mark Grayson is killed in action while chasing down the renegade USS Crazy Horse.
On SD240601.xx Beta Fleet Intelligence receives word about the situation on the Crazy Horse, and sends 3 ships to intercept her and take control.
On SD240601.xx a resistance begins aboard the USS Crazy Horse as members of the crew realize they are not really members of the Vanguard. They attack the bridge, and stun Eloise Ariela. Avalon Daimyo comes to the realization that she too is not truly a member of the Vanguard. With the Crazy Horse heavily damaged, those crew who have come to their senses set about to repair the ship, cure the rest of the crew, and rest.
