Biographical Information
Scott was born in Melbourne, Earth. He grew up on SB102 where his father was assigned, and at age 17 applied to Starfleet Academy. At age 18, he began studies at the Academy, studying Engineering. Prior to entering service he completed Special Forces training at Starbase Bragg.
His parents were killed in a transport ship accident whilst he was in his last year at the Academy, an incident he is still recovering from.
Scott received his first assignment aboard Starbase Versailles as an Assistant Tactical Officer. His first mission was as a member of the Away Team sent aboard the H'Slon vessel which arrived at Starbase Versailles. During the Away Team mission, the Executive Officer of Versailles was killed in the line of duty.
On Stardate 240504.25 Scott was promoted to Ensign by Lt Commander Thorpe (CO, Starbase Versailles).
On Stardate 240506.18 Ensign Thomas was promoted to Chief Engineer of Starbase Versailles, following the encounter with the Asteroid, however due to injuries sustained he was evacuated to Starbase 22. After months of treatment, on Stardate 240511.01 he returned to Starbase Versailles as Chief Engineer and promoted to Lieutenant (Junior Grade).
Along with the senior officers of Starbase Versailles, he temporarily transferred to the USS Cerberus for her maiden voyage following an extensive refit. As Chief Engineer, he supervised repairs following the Cerberus' crash landing into the seas of Draken III. The ship returned to orbit, whereupon Thomas was promoted to the rank of full Lieutenant, and appointed Acting Second Officer on Stardate 240602.08. With Lt Commander Ropak out of action, he was appointed Acting First Officer shortly thereafter. Along with most of the USS Cerberus crew, he transferred to the USS Resolution prior to the Battle of Versailles.
Just prior to the destruction of Starbase Versailles, Thomas beamed aboard with Captain Thorpe. Both were rescued by the USS Dirae. Captain Thorpe was later killed by an unknown person, dying in his quarters with Thomas at his side.
Thomas transferred with the remaining crew to Starbase 22, where they were issued with orders and assigned to the new Starbase 99: Versailles. Thomas was promoted to Lieutenant Commander and named Executive Officer under Commander Osric Tia.
Following the disappearance of Commander Tia, Thomas was named Commanding Officer and promoted to Acting Captain until a permanent CO could be found. Upon appointment of Vice Admiral Kanryth, Thomas was reassigned as Executive Officer of the USS Resolution and formally promoted to Commander.
