On SD 240603.xx the Crazy Horse interceptiosn communications regarding the Battle of Versailles. Leaving their current assignment, they rush to the aid of Versailles. Once reaching Versailles, they get in contact with the Dirae who believes everyone else has been turned into Vanguard. They team up with the Dirae and fire upon Starfleet ships. When the Dirae leaves the scene of the battle, the Horse accompanies them with the intent of gathering more information.
On SD 240603.xx the Dirae is ordered by Vice Admiral Fox to go to Versailles and prevent her capture by Vanguard forces. Fox sends the Dirae new transponder codes at this time, which flag legitimate Starfleet forces as Vanguard, and Vanguard forces as Starfleet. Not knowing they have been duped by a holographic projection, the Dirae is fooled into sttacking Starfleet ships, and destroys the USS Intrepid, believing she is the flagship of the Vanguard forces.
On SD 240603.xx Starbase Versailles is destroyed when the Vanguard, knowing that they are losing the Battle of Versailles, detonate explosives they have planted throughout the station.
On SD 240603.xx the USS Intrepid, registration NCC-3875-D is commissioned, and launched from Starbase 22 under the command of Captain Kerry Malone.
On SD 240603.xx the Dirae breaks off plans to investigate a local communications relay, and proceeds to a supply depot in the Aspect system for engine parts.
On SD 240603.xx the Intrepid is ordered to the Aspect system to be on guard for Vanguard raiding of the supply depot in the system.
On SD 240603.xx Captain Jake Jay Thorpe is murdered aboard the USS Dirae. Commander Osric Tia is assigned to investigate the murder, the outcome finding Commander Brian Wills to be the murderer. Commander Tia and the remaining Versailles crew are transferred to the USS Resolution and ordered to report to Starbase 22 for debriefing and reassignment. Commander Tia is placed in command of the Versailles crew for the interim. Lieutenant Scott Thomas is appointed Acting Executive Officer.
On SD 240603.xx the Intrepid and Dirae encounter each other in the Aspect system. Malone informs Kanryth that Starfleet has suspected the Dirae was duped into attacking Starfleet ships. Both Commanding Officers quickly come to the realization that the two ships are indeed on the same side, and the situation is diffused without a shot being fired. Kanryth insists on a court martial for form's sake.
On SD 240603.xx the Dirae returns to Starbase 22 where Kanryth and her crew are cleared of any wrongdoing by court martial.
On SD 240603.xx the Horse and Dirae part company. The Crazy Horse continues on to the main communications relay for the sector, wehre they discover that some one sent messages to the Dirae using a holographic projection of Admiral Fox. They deduce that there must be a spy aboard Starbase 22, and leave the news with a nearby outpost.
On SD 240603.xx the spy aboard Starbase 22 intercepts the communication from the Horse regarding a spy on the starbase. The spy sends word to her allies, the Krivaldi, to attack the Horse and destroy her.
On SD 240603.xx Outpost 19, having cleared the Horse through a quick courtmartial of all charges of treason, requests that the Horse patrol the nearby border. As the Horse acquiesces to this request, Krivaldi forces appear from nowhere and attack.
