Biography:

Amanda and her twin sister Rebekka were born in Belfast Ireland to Thomas and Stephanie Jenkins two Starfleet Officers. Amanda was always a rather shy child growing up and had trouble communicating due to a stutter that she developed when she had a head injury from an accident she had when she was 8.

Had a series of relationships fall apart due to her speach problem and slight hearing loss in her right ear. This caused her to become very quiet and have trouble trusting men. However, she developed an attraction to fellow officer, and Commanding Officer of the ship she was then serving on, Commander Jason Thompson. Taking a chance she started a relationship with him.

However, less than 2 years later, they were both reassigned elsewhere and lost contact with each other for the next 4 years. She was assigned to Starfleet Medical on Earth, where she met Commander Patrick O'Neill. At first, feeling lonely and empty from being seperated from Thompson, she found Patrick charming and fell in love. However, she quickly became painfully aware of his temper when he began to physically abuse her.

After less than 6 months, she requested a transfer to the USS Vindicator, having recognized the name of the Commanding Officer as being the same Jason Thompson she served with on the USS Nightshade. Being granted the transfer, she made her way to Starbase 22, where she met up with the USS Vindicator and came face to face with Thompson, now a Commodore.

Shortly after her arrival on the Vindicator, Patrick resurfaced and after luring her to a counseling office, attacked her, leaving her fighting for her life in Vindicator's Sickbay, with Thompson at her side.
