The sim is moving along well, my intention for the Aylhr is for it to be active enough where 18-30 logs a week is normal. I don’t intend to bring it back to the machine status it was several years ago, but to a level where people are enjoying a consistent sim. Another thing I’d like to address is the difficulty some people are having in writing their character as a Romulan. I think it’s safe to say that overall, Romulans are very much like humans, maybe a more Asiatic culture in terms of emphasis on respect and family identity. So far everyone has done exceptional, don’t feel nervous about posting! Also I would like to see everyone do at least 1 single post per week. Joint logs are fine, but single posts really allow you to get a feel for your character. The perfect scenario is 1 regular post and 1 joint post per crewmember, but, if you are busy a simple single post is great. Just a 4-5 paragraph log will do as long as it’s quality. With that said, I plan on getting the plot grounded this week. Expect things to pick up, and also expect to have a more interesting setting from which many will be logging. Plot Summary /¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ After a few stumbles the Aylhr is finally given permission to depart ch’Rihan [Romulus]. Leaving homeworld behind, the Aylhr began its journey to the Tomika system to join up with the rest of the Rhi’Galae’s [5th Fleet’s] first wing. Meanwhile onboard the Aylhr, Sella Donnas the Political Officer decided to introduce herself to Argelian. The meeting is tense between the two foes, Argelian informs Donnas that she does not ‘frighten’ him while Donnas informs Argelian that her assignment to Aylhr is as much a displeasure to her as it is for him. Aylhr’s new RS [XO] also meets with the Gai’Shian [Marine] Commander GS Arrain D’Nal tr’Solius. She informs Solius that his men would be charged with cleaning up the trashed marine barracks on Aylhr as thoughts of unleashing Romulan thrai [wolf-like animals] on them crosses her mind. T’Rehu also finds his lack of character interesting, and invites him to a dinner with the crew to measure him. The old Aylhr Leih, Riov Maec tr'Khnialmnae, returns as strategic officer to the Rhi’Galae and Khre’Riov tr’Verelan. Walking through the Aylhr’s halls is nostalgic for the old Leih, after reporting to the Oira he heads to his room for meditation. Saeihr t’Khellian, the Aylhr’s new Daise’Hiifvehi [Chief Medical] also arrives on the Aylhr and finds her way to the Oira where she observes the mechanics trying hard not to seem childish through her excitement. She also meets with the RS, t’Rehu, who accepts her posting and sends her to begin her duties. About midway to Tomika the Aylhr picks up an emergency signal from the moon planet ch’Lekab. The overseer of the settlement, tr’Nadlis, reports to Riov t’Rehu that a plague has stricken its population. He informs her that over a third of the main city’s population was infection, about twenty two thousand people. Shocked by the number t’Rehu contacts the Khre’Riov who is resting in his quarters and informs him of the crisis. Tr’Verelan issues and order quarantining the planet and dressed to meet with t’Rehu and the Strategic Ops Maec tr'Khnialmnae. During the meeting between tr’Verelan, t’Rehu, and tr'Khnialmnae the issue of how to deal with the crisis is discussed. tr'Khnialmnae suggests that they burn the planet to ensure that the illness does not spread, however Argelian rejects that idea. He decides to investigate the problem, and if they fail in finding a solution then the planet would be scourged. The decision is made and Aylhr changes course to head to ch’Lekab. As the Aylhr speeds to its new destination t’Rehu returns to the Oira to find the Aylhr’s new Daise’Dheno Arrain tr’Rok there to report for duty. The young officer’s posture irritated the Riov, she found him arrogant and prideful in stance. She chides him for initializing his last assignment, and then orders him to begin his duty. The meeting with the Daise’Dheno brought a foul mood upon Shiarrael causing her to go on a warpath to sharpen up the Aylhr’s departments. Going to Engineering she found it filthy and demanded the Daise’Paectum improve upon it, however the officer refused insulting the Riov. Angry she unsheathes her Vrelnec and threatens to cut off his tongue, though on second thought she sheathes the weapon but hits the officer in the chest knocking him unconscious. Meanwhile erie’Arrain t’Kazanka meets with the Aylhr’s supply officer trying to find a spare uniform. Discovering that only old deteriorating uniforms were present she stormed out. On ch’Lekab the situation worsened, with the militia occupied with keeping government facilities protected, citizens afraid of the disease took advantage of the lawlessness to set fires and riot across the main city. Meanwhile hospitals became crowded and medical personnel perished as fast as the regular citizens. Just when everything seemed like it could not get any worse, the leader overseer tr’Nadlis is infected when he discovers the body of his dead granddaughter and embraces the child. Will Aylhr be able to save them? Or will they be forced to destroy the entire settlement to save the Kazon sector from a similar fate?
