Soon the ship orbits this new place and scans the surface that seems inhabited but the Science staff finds the presence of some sort of ruins of what seemed of an ancient civilization. RAdm Reece decides that three Away Teams are going to be sent down to the surface to explore the ruins and to get the resources. Regardless the protests of his XO and 2XO, Sean is going to lead one of those teams. Not happy with the CO decision, Cmdr Morgan and Cmdr Hayes assure that their CSec, LtCmdr Moondancer, keeps a close eye to him and a security detachment for the Admiral's security is assigned. Soon all the members of the Away Teams gather on the shuttlebay and prepare their departure. Meanwhile, LtJG Gunn decides to go vole hunting and discovers that the creatures had been messing with the food crates in the cargo bays. He is able to stun one and soon Lt Miller joins to the fun notifying Alex that what he caught is not an ordinary mice but a cardassian vole that is more dangerous. Our barman also joins to the 'vole season hunting' and he uses a more conventional method by setting traps with pieces of cakes as bait in the Jeffries tubes of the Mess Hall.
