Unfortunately they arrive to the conclusion that this cannot be possible as they might trigger the mechanism of the device. Yaroslav presents an alternative by accelerating the ship at maximum warp drive and then attempt to beam out the explosive. Capt Stocklohom, who has taken command of the Avalon, agrees with the plan and orders the remaining crew to board the escape pods. Dr Jarred Accura takes a shuttle out with the XO to ensure her safety, while the rest of the officers, including Cmdr Cala Morgan uses the escape pods.
