Two replicators, one on either side of the bar, are available to those who would prefer their food
replicated. The cuisine listing for the replicators and the bar is extensive, and a real kitchen
exists through an entranceway behind the bar, for those who prefer authentic cuisine. There are
sectioned-off areas on the top deck for private discussions or romantic dinners.
There are two entrances on the first deck, and one side-entrance to each balcony. All doors to the
lounge have weapon detection sensors and are equipped with forcefield emitters in order to seal violators.
Located just next to detection sensors are two weapons lockers for stowing weaponry. The Ten Forward
rules dictate that no one except Starfleet Security Personnel of the rank Lieutenant Commander or above
may enter Ten Forward armed, nor fire a phaser. There are energy nullifiers that utilize EM and
frequency fluctuators to disable any fired weapons that placed at 12 centimeter intervals throughout
the underlying floor panels of all three decks that prevent unauthorized personnel from firing, however
due to popular designs, there are some areas along the balcony perimeter of the upper decks that have
floor windows. Two weapons armories are located beneath the bar, and a weapons armory is located in the
back corner of each of the other two decks, all of which are passcoded, shielded, made of triple-layered
tritanium, and phase-nullified so they cannot be opened without the passcode nor by force.
The entire Lounge is equipped with holo-sensors and holographic generator arrays with the newest
integrated holographic technology. The Holo-Array is interconnected to any Holosuite (installed standard
in all UCIP starships for the past 2 years) via a complex subspace broad-band network. By emulation, any
holosuite on a UCIP starship is capable of projecting any real substance data, such as a lifeform, into
the Ten Forward Lounge with complete fidelity that like a hologram or holographic character. The system
is virtually flawless that actual interaction, with either animate or inanimate objects, can occur. This
includes foodstuffs that are replicated onto the Starship's hologrid. So a simple drink a user orders
will not be holographic, it will be actually replicated within the holographic environment. Thus, one
user can have a real drink with a Lounge Patron over 6 billion kilometers away. The usage of the network
can also occur between Holosuites of starships. The subspace broad-band network is continiously monitored
for interference interruptions to illegal trafficing.
Ship-to-Lounge time is limited to one hour and thirty minutes, twice a day. Sometimes extended or
shortened depending on the broad-band network's haul. A special privilage of extended time may be instated
by a Commanding Officer and up if required and needed. Ship-to-Ship time is limited to thirty minutes
every X days (X being defined by the crew number divided by holosuites avaliable of a starship). This,
also, can sometimes vary.
The Lounge has been declared to be a peaceful area, a Neutral Zone for the current galaxy, where even
warring parties may enjoy a drink in peace, without fights breaking out or slander being committed.
LOUNGE RULES:
IC:
Under no circumstances may any non-cleared personnel carry or obtain weapons while engaging in patronal activities in "Ten-Forward". Cleared personnel include UCIP Superstation security forces, and authorized officers of the rank of Commander, equivalents, and above.
Ship-to-Lounge time is limited to one hour and thirty minutes, twice a day, for all armed forces. This amount of time may be extended or shortened depending on necessity of bandwidth. Please see your Commanding Officer to allocate yourself more or less time if necessary.
Syntheholic beverages are served with a maximum of either one 'bottle' of lighter drinks, such as wines and beers, or 5 shots of hard liquors, such as whiskeys, bourbons, and rums.
Ten-Forward does not charge money for it's services except to non-Federation patrons, in which case the latinum will be transferred immediately out of the lounge. Bartenders are trained in the use of weaponry, and there are weapon racks in the lounge for use in attempts to commandeer this latinum.
Security forces respond only to authorized Ten-Forward workers and staff. Please do not attempt to call in security, as this only confuses the office more. Your attending staffmember will alert security if necessary.
The Ten-Forward Lounge is an off-duty area of the UCIP Superstation. While enjoying the atmosphere, please understand that others around you are also taking their breaks. These members are not your subordinates unless you are issuing a direct order and are their superior through the chain of command.
While you are in the Ten-Forward Lounge, you are within UCIP jurisdiction. Please respect the crew and ranked officers of the UCIP, as well as the UCIP laws and rules. We reserve the right to hold you accountable for crimes you commit while in Ten-Forward, regardless of how far you are from the actual station. Whether this means spending time in the brig on the station, or having your signal blocked for a certain amount of time and your CO notified, crimes do not go unpunished.
By engaging in activities onboard the UCIP Superstation in any way, you are required to divulge any information about crimes currently being perpetrated. Please contact a member of the staff or a security officer for assistance.
OOC:
You do not control the security, please don't try. The security on the station is for the station, it will not respond to you regardless of your rank, unless you are a staff member of Ten-Forward. Holowaiters can be used if no actual staff exists, but please be reasonable.
Please keep realism as a maximum. Just like on your sims, you aren't God and you don't control the world. Regardless of what your psychiatrist says.
Phasers aren't allowed in Ten-Forward. If you bring one in, you will be trapped in a forcefield upon entering and arrested, so don't bother. Simple as that.
'Crime' in Ten-Forward actually _is_ acted upon, so try not to do it. Your character may be sent to the brig (banned), for a set time limit.
Follow the Code of Conduct while OOC. IC, of course fighting and bickering will occur, insults etc, but don't go overboard, and don't carry it into OOC.
Please stay within realistic bounds in dealing with your ship. If your ship is stranded, lost in the past or future, has had it's communications destroyed, et cetera, you will not realistically be able to communicate with Ten-Forward. WE prefer that you use another character or wait for your ship to be able to communicate again.
When you are sent to the brig, you will be asked to sim with a location identifier of *brig>. Should you choose to abandon this, a ban can be put in place.
Bans, other than for those above, are used only if you or your character are acting in a highly severe or crude manner. Please use common sense to avoid these things.
