The following list are common lists used within UCIP including a description of their purpose and who is supposed to be subscribed to each. advisors@ For direct communication and discussion between the CinC, DCinC, DivComs, Deputy DivComs, and anyone else the CinC may deem able to provide positive beneficial discussion to this list. Deputy DivComs may be on this list only with permission of the CinC. A limit of one Deputy will be enforced. This list is a confidential list, unless otherwise stated by the CinC. The CinC may allow discussion from this list to be shared in cases where it is better to allow people on the list to gather further opinions and thoughts on issues. By default, discussions on this list are considered confidential. announce@ For Announcements relevant to the members of UCIP. These include: Appointments of: DivComs & Deputies Fleet COs & Deputies Services Department Heads & Deputies/Assistants Monthly Divisional Reports (required) CinC addresses to the membership (4x yearly or more frequently as needed) Applications For: DivComs & Deputies Fleet COs & Deputies Services Department Heads & Deputies/Assistants Calls for any Services Positions CO/XO Applications (NOT general calls for crew!) Guest Opening Announcements (These are ONE TIME positions on SIMs) Vote Announcements: Policy Changes All Confirmation votes above the CO Level All Vote Results SIM Status Changes Creation of SubSIMs (or downgrading of full SIMs to SubSIMs) Going Into/Out of Development Going Into Trials Being Accepted as Full SIMulations Shutting Down of SIMs Awards Generally any award (FCO level or above) that promotes a positive image of personnel and SIMs in UCIP. Hard work, dedication, and awards that promote SIMming in general, such as the Quill Award. Only the CinC and DCinC may be on this list. public@ For general use by the members of UCIP to question or discuss anything that may be occurring at a UCIP-wide level in the organization. May also be used for general conversations and discussions. All DivComs and their Deputies are required to be on public@ucip.org in order to assist with directing and monitoring discussion on the list. proposals@ (New) For submission of proposals that would affect the organization as a whole. Any members of UCIP may optionally subscribe to this list. staff@ For direct communication and discussion between the CinC, DCinC, DivComs, and their Deputies. This list is observable by the membership. Members who wish to observe this list may subscribe to gallery-staff@. As with Announce, members may request any participant on staff@ to forward their comments/opinions/thoughts to staff@ regardless of 'chain of command'. Any individual forwarding an email from a member is responsible for ensuring that the comments are appropriate to the discussion. Individuals may be subscribed to this list for the duration of specific discussions. For example, if someone proposed a new policy that was being discussed, and the CinC wished them to be able to participate in the discussion of their proposal to enable them to alter and adapt it based on feedback. At the conclusion of such a discussion, the individual would be removed from the list. The following are required to be subscribed: CinC & DCinC. DivComs and 1 Deputy.
